A total of 214 DepEd Toledo City personnel took a significant step forward in their careers during the Mass Oathtaking Ceremony held on July 27, 2026, at Toledo National Vocational School (TNVS), underscoring the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Toledo City’s commitment to recognizing excellence and fostering professional growth.

More than a formal event, the ceremony celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment of educators and school officials who have achieved new milestones in their professional journeys.

Guided by the provisions of DepEd Order No. 24, s. 2025, as amended by DepEd Order No. 34, s. 2025, the ceremony honored newly promoted teachers under the Expanded Career Progression (ECP) Program, as well as newly hired Teacher I personnel pursuant to DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2023. The event also featured the installation of a newly promoted School Head and the reassignment of School Heads and Assistant School Heads in accordance with Schools Division Memorandum No. 270, s. 2026.

The ceremony was led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Joseph Irwin A. Lagura, with the support of Dr. Ma. Kenneth S. Nengasca, Chief Education Supervisor of the Curriculum Implementation Division, and Mrs. Malou S. Loreto, Administrative Officer IV for Personnel, together with selected personnel from the Division Office. Their leadership and support ensured that the occasion was conducted with dignity and significance, reflecting the Division’s commitment to recognizing excellence and fostering professional growth.

As each name was called and every oath was administered, the atmosphere was filled with pride, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. Each educator pledged to embrace the responsibilities of their new position and continue serving learners with integrity, dedication, and excellence.

The 214 personnel who took their oaths comprised 3 Teacher I, 40 Teacher III, 18 Teacher IV, 45 Teacher V, 105 Teacher VI, 1 Master Teacher II, 1 Master Teacher III, and 1 School Head. Their promotion, appointment, or reassignment reflects not only professional advancement but also the trust and confidence bestowed upon them by the Department.

Beyond the numbers are stories of hard work, resilience, perseverance, and dedicated service, qualities that define the teaching profession.
