To recognize outstanding performance and invaluable service in advancing the goals of the Department of Education (DepEd), the Schools Division of Toledo City held the Bulawanong Pagsilak Awarding Ceremony on February 13, 2026, at the Toledo City Sports Center.
Dr. Joseph Irwin A. Lagura, Schools Division Superintendent, emphasized in his message that the Division honors both teaching and non-teaching personnel who demonstrated exemplary performance in 2025, contributing significantly to the attainment of the Division’s and DepEd’s objectives.
A total of 325 participants attended the 2025 Bulawanong Pagsilak Awarding Ceremony, representing various sectors of the education community and partner stakeholders. The attendees included 12 guests composed of representatives from the LGU, PTA Federation, Schools Division leadership, and key division officials, alongside 10 members of the Division PRAISE Committee. Recognized during the event were 12 SILAK Program Implementer awardees and five individual category awardees, as well as 43 retirees honored for loyal service and six posthumous awardees. The largest group comprised 95 loyalty awardees, in addition to one CESWE passer and 25 CPD participants. Also acknowledged were 21 schools cited for complete and prompt submission of School MOE for CY 2025 and six offices recognized for timely budgetary and financial reports. Supporting the program were 40 selected division office personnel, working committee members, and presenters, together with 23 school heads and 26 presenters, highlighting the collective participation and recognition of excellence across the division.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment among educators and personnel to uphold excellence, integrity, and service in fulfilling wthe Department’s mandate. Through initiatives such as the Bulawanong Pagsilak Awards, the Schools Division of Toledo City continues to foster a culture of recognition and motivation, inspiring its workforce to sustain high performance and dedication in delivering quality education for every learner.
